📋 Information We Collect
We collect the following personal information only when you choose to sign in:
- Email address — collected via Google Sign-In, used only to identify your cloud backup
- Google Account display name — used to personalise your experience
📊 Analytics & Usage Data
We use Google Firebase Analytics to collect anonymous usage data. This helps us understand how users interact with the app so we can improve it.
- App screens visited
- Features used (quizzes, vocab browsing)
- Device type and operating system version
- App performance and crash reports (Firebase Crashlytics)
This data is anonymous and cannot be used to personally identify you.
📢 Advertising
Wortschatz displays ads provided by Google AdMob to support free access to the app. AdMob may use your device's advertising ID to serve relevant ads.
- We do not use remarketing or targeted advertising campaigns
- We do not sell your data to advertisers
- You can opt out of personalised ads via your device settings:
Android → Settings → Google → Ads → Opt out of Ads Personalisation
☁️ Cloud Backup (Google Drive)
If you sign in with Google, your vocabulary progress (words marked as Learning or Known) is backed up to your own Google Drive account.
- This data is stored in your personal Google Drive, not on our servers
- Dream Mobile Apps does not have access to your Google Drive files
- You can delete your backup at any time from your Google Drive
